Canadian Agencies Garner Awards

Canadian agencies had a strong showing at the 22nd annual London International Awards this week, which recognizes excellence in advertising, design and digital media. DDB Canada won 16 awards including a gold and five silver awards for Phillips Canada radio and also won a silver for Subaru Canada radio. GJP Advertising and Design won a silver in corporate identity; Ogilvy & Mather won a gold for the much-lauded viral spot 'Evolution' for Dove, which also won golds in corporate and cosmetics in the TV category. Brandever Strategy won a gold for package design in alcoholic beverages for John Howard Cellars of Distinction and a silver in cosmetics packaging for Le Vin face cream. Downtown Partners won silver in ambient indoor work for the Canadian Red Cross. Target won silver for original music with lyrics, in TV for the Newfoundland and Labrador brand. Rethink won silver for its Playland Amusement Park transport campaign, which also won a silver in entertainment print work. Publicis Toronto won silver in business to business, print for Purolator. ACLC won gold in copywriting for Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries and lg2 won silver in print retail for Sears Optical. TAXI Canada won gold for its Viagra TV commercial work.
